Dear all,
Let me convey my sincere appreciation and happiness about the outcome of the meeting which took place in such a co-ordeal, healthy atmosphere and in a planned schedule. I will like to give special thanks to some members.
* Subhash & Family : They have taken lot of pain to keep the good arrangement of meeting and attended everyone of us with lot of care.
* Santosh & Nandu : They attended the meeting in spite of their busy schedule coming all the way from kalsuli and preparing themselves for it.
* Srinivas : He has gifted everyone of us with a valuable and memorable gift(Book) which is really appreciable.
The meeting went on smoothly, just because of proper planning, good study of the points to be discussed and overall your co-operation. We could easily interact in a very good manner and also able to take quite many decisions in less time
Once again I thank one and all to make this meeting a great success.
With Regards.

Self Appraisal- highly recommended
A little boy went into a drug store, reached for asoda carton and pulled it over to the telephone. Heclimbed onto the carton so that he could reach the buttons on the phone and proceeded to punch in sevendigits (phone numbers). The store-owner observed and listened to theconversation:
Boy: 'Lady, Can you give me the job of cutting yourlawn?
Woman: (at the other end of the phone line): 'Ialready have someone to cut my lawn.
Boy: 'Lady, I will cut your lawn for half the price ofthe person who cuts your lawn now.
Woman: I'm very satisfied with the person who is presently cutting my lawn.
Boy: (with more perseverance): 'Lady, I'll even sweepyour curb and your sidewalk, so on Sunday you willhave the prettiest lawn in all of Palm beach , Florida.'
Woman: No, thank you. With a smile on his face, the little boy replaced thereceiver. The store-owner, who was listening to allthis, walked over to the boy.
Store Owner: 'Son... I like your attitude; I like that positive spirit and would like to offer you a job.'
Boy: 'No thanks,
Store Owner: But you were really pleading for one.
Boy: No Sir, I was just checking my performance at the job I already have. I am the one who is working for that lady, I was talking to!'

We need role model to follow.........
Its said, Numberrs Do matters,
Do no. really matters? I was wondering and was thinking on this phrase. I do recollect one example where Gandhi said, If you want to collect 1 lakh of rupees ask 1 lakh people instead of asking one person. You will say it is easy to ask one person for one lak of rupees than reaching out to one lakh people. Yah, you are true perhaps!!! but you know what we are missing? the future opprtunities. What Gandiji said is If you reach out to one lak people your idea is heard and supported by all those and they will become your vision builders and who knows all these one lakh could become your life time donors.
We always tend to look or repect people who are capable of paying more money but same time we loose on the future donors? it is necessary that we respect views of everybody. the funds do matter but same time it matters the whole hrart involvement of each and every members.
I was also wondering, What role model we are creating infront of the new generation, Are we saying that we are not capable of holding all in one? are we saying that we are in capable of eunning a business? Are we saying that we should grrom ourseves for a better clearks? To get good jobs in market.
Are we really creating good role model for our future generation? Are we not getting happy with peanuts when we can earn gold. Are we not killing our aspirations and inspirations and mpulding ousselves as upper or middle middle clas.
We must check what message we are living back to our next generation. Our forefathers wtll not forgive us if we fail in that
Be that change we want to bring

An extraordinary common man

PANDURANG SITARAM SAWANT:
A extraordinary common man
A person can be considered common by society at large but he can be extraordinary when it comes to development of ones own family and village. Due to lack of facilities for education, children from villages need to be sent to urban areas and towns and this involves tremendous sacrifices from families who manage to send their children. Mr. Pandurang Sawant is one such person who strongly felt that children from his own family and children from the village should avail of higher education facilities. He himself had to undergo a lot of difficulties and sufferings in order to do that.
The children from his family and from the village accustomed to a simple life and who were not even aware how to wear chappals have Now attained high positions in their respective fields.
Mr. P.S. Sawant was born on 22nd January 1928. He was a precocious child with a natural gifted memory. He used to be ready with answers even before his maths teacher could write the full questions on the blackboard. His favourite subject was geography and he was adept at drawing geographical maps. After completing his secondary education, he came to Mumbai for doing his Teachers' Training Course.
He was greatly influenced by great personalities such as Acharya Vinoba Bhave, Sane Guruji, Jawaharlal Nehru, Acharya Jawadekar, Achyut Patwardhan. By reading books on their lives he developed a sense of strong patriotism and dedication to social causes. He returned to his village with a strong desire to create a social reform in his village. He started high schools in his village which were built as a result of 'shramdaan' or which literally means donating ones labor without expecting anything in return. In the same manner, he enabled building of good roads and starting of rationing shops. He has been a strong influence and molded lives of many children in his village.

Dear ALL,
Thanks for your response, after my mail I got several call and couple of mail reply and was able to find out what is happenning underneath. I personally got very happy with the feedback since they were very genuine and from the bottom of the heart.
Though we are meeting on 25th January at Subhash place for the Annual meeting i though some of the points may not come at that time and this would be the best platform for expressing those, The following points came very strongly,
1. In our family members itself the income level is varies from Rs. 0 per month to Rs.1lakh or 2lakh (I really do not know the figures) and hence priority changes accordingly. For one members even shelling out family contribution of 2000 also is a big thing and for some it is a negligible amount.
2. Some have very personal and emotional attachment to each happening at village or each part of the programme. Some even do not bother about it.
3. For some Kalsuli Village house and property is an Asset, a power centre for some it is a big liability with a draining black hole.
4. When we are not prepared to handle the problems at the Kalsuli village, some feels we should not add the Shivdav or Chiplun issues and problem in it. They need to deal professional;y and seperately.
5. Some feels Shivdav and Chplun is part of sawant bros hence the problems issues to be handled together, some feels its too much of streching of our resources and strength.
6. Some of the opinion we should not spend on events but we must learn and teach the new generation on the valuee of money and getting higest output by doing less expenses.
7. for them they feel even if we celebrate Ganesh Cahaturthi, Deewali, Saptah, Holi, Shraddh and two meetings and show maximum presence there itself will searve the purpose of bringing the generations together.
8. For some they feel Sawant Bros and Sawant Foundation are two different entity and hence they should be trewated differentely, Sawant Bros is an Emotional and Blood bounded group for welfare of Family. Sawant foundation is a professional offshoot of the Sawant Bros committment to the Society. We should have controle of emotions over it.
9. Some feels only few members speak in the meeting and try to overpower others with their thoughts and hence lots of things are not discuss at all. Money, contributions always become important part of the meeting. and people feel that every members though may not contribute have something to say and want to get heard or appreciated by others.
10. I am always right attitude harm the group hence as a group dynamics, every members should be given equal ooprtunity, even if they want to keep away from sawant family for some time, we need to give that space to them for some time.
If you throughly scan the environment of over family you will find that, we have reached to different levels of life but we are not really successful because we are not DASHING, We are not DREAMING, we are not HARD WORKER, we are not SINCERE IN OUR APPROACH, we are not good money handler, we do not give respect to money we earn and hence we spend lavishly or we spend for small return. We very easily gather money or loan from our contacts but we do not reciprocate. I strogly refer one book to you all " REACH DAD, POOR DAD" which beautifully talk about this importance of Money and how you can increase your assest and not liabilities.
Suresh has come with a list of achievement for last 23 years, I am now putting a list of falures and would appel all to add to it (sorry if i hurt any body)
1. Ph. D by Suresh Sawant, Shrikant Sawant, Shrikrishna Sawant and Shrinivas Sawant ( i am not sure if any body else is in the list)
2. Post Graduadtion or Graduation by Sharad Sawant, Maya Sawant, Sailee, Rajendra Sawant
3. Establishment of Business by Sharad Sawant at Nasik (i dont know wahats the loss there)
4. Several business by Dr. Umesh Sawant ( He only knows how many companies we started)
5. On the job studies or personal growth at the job: Raghuveer Sawant, Suresh Sawant, Vijay Sawant, Rajendra Sawant, Shrikant Sawant, Shrikrishna Sawant
6. Sawant Foundation ICON / reaching to the sky - Dr. Ramesh Sawant, Dr. Umeshchandra Sawant (we want both ofg you to use your knowlege, levels for nationa;l development, You should be like Vasant Govarikar, Avinash Dharmadhikari etc whom the people know very respectfully)
7. Compound wall to Sawant Brothers property
8. Survey of the land. property
9. Sawant TRUST (a family trust which binds all property)
10. A healthy and better communication with all members
11. A Knowledge or Resource bank of Sawant bros from which new generation will learn.
12. Are we carring all values, Are we Continuing and building the principle of Sincerety, openness, trasperancy, Truth and togetherness in the next generation.
I know I have purposly not added my shortcommings since i want somebody else to project those expectations. I end here my mail but looking for healthy feedback,
Apologies if i have hurt anybody, knowingly unknowingly.

AGM Meeting
Dear All,
I am going through the several mail comming from Shrikant and Suresh in the recent past and also was witnessing the silence from others. The silence for what? Not interested, streched up? no need of functios? no meetings? I am surprise that we are not interested to react, discuss on any of the issues mentioned bu Suresh or Shrikant.
Are we not cheking mails? is that not our priority? Is it so simple task to bring and keep people together? I dont feel so. I see a struggle which Suresh going through of convincing everybody and finally canceling with a pain. He did mentioned that there will be no financial contribution requred but pure meeting of the families. If we do not agree with it fine, but can we be strong enough to give valid reasons for that.
I do agree we should not spend lavishly on programmes and should be miser on our expenses but do we apply this principle at our own home. If yes then how far it is relevent in todays situation to to keep ourselves out of touch for long. Do anybody of us ast this stage know how much life we have got to live? why dont we share each moment with happyness and pride than just a bitter past.
Haven,t we work heard to reach to the stage where we are now? havent our family contributed in our growth? arent we proud of being part of Sawant family? Arent we look for a support and help from our fellow members?
Yes I do agrre Sawant Bros and Sawant foundatioon are different but we are same members there, Yes we havent yet achived the professionalism in running a trust. But as part of the trust agenda the members must meet thrice a year to pan and execute its activities. We may not agree with the way of working of one particular member but do we agree to the basic principle of the organisation the Vision and the Mission of the foundation.
Can we grow a little? I being the last member of the entire team feel ashamed to see the way we are heading. I get horrify with the though of the Sawant Family after Kaka, Yes i mean it, If we can not contribute no problem but let us support somebodys genuine efforts by just being with him or even discussiong with the people who are keen to develop.
BE BRAVE
BE COURAGEOUS
BE CONCERNED
